Anonymous asked: You haven't posted for a few days so I'm wondering where my confession went. Did you not post it because I mentioned I was gay or something? Do you screen confessions?

The ask box is open!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I had to close the ask box because I was so backed up on confessions. The first few weeks of school were crazy hectic for me, and I just didn’t have time to get them all out. But now everything is back on track and I’m working on getting all the old confessions out as I type this. So, please, feel free to submit.

Hey guys. For some reason a bunch of submissions/asks got deleted before I could make the confessions for them. So, if you had one that isn’t posted by tomorrow night, feel free to submit it again. I’m so sorry. I don’t know what happened.

smilesandgrace asked: In my chapter things like good standing, seniority, number of previous littles and desire are taken into account when making the list of bigs. The number of possible bigs is always the same as number of littles. Then we have mixers with just them so they can get to know each other. Both groups rank and include info about what they are looking for in a big/lil, like if they care if there big is...
Anonymous asked: In ours the pledges don't get a say in who their big is. The girls want to be bigs will submit a bid for a little. Before when they pledges got a say in who they want as their big, it didn't turn out so well as some of the bigs didn't really devote time to bond so we changed it to where if you want to be a big, you can submit a bid for a girl. We did take the pledges opinions into...
Anonymous asked: Our active members and pledges make a list of their top 3 girls and they try to match them up as much as possible. But there are some that get bumped and stuck with girls they don't know like I did.
thatiswhyimsingle asked: in my chapter we let the littles pick their bigs... each girl makes a list of the top 5 active members they would want as their big. The new member educator then makes sure there aren't any doubling up (our pc's are usually small so twins isn't really ever an option) and notifies the bigs. so the littles have basically complete control which makes for better pairing :) plus our...
Anonymous asked: In my sorority we made a list of 7-10 girls we wanted to be our bigs and they ranked us also. Our new member educator and president matched us up. Since last year was our charter year, they did twins that year so each of the littles got matched with a twin pair, so we got two bigs.
Anonymous asked: The way I was told how ours was done, ours is a chapter recently brought back and I just recent joined. Actives went with seniority and did it dodgeball on the playground style... I recently submitted, I got a not-great big. But after a bunch of crap being put through, I think that it needs to change how you stated the pref's.. I hope to bring that into next years pledge class.
Anonymous asked: How do people get assigned to their bigs? I see and hear a lot of different things from various chapters. I'm just curious if the littles get a say in who their big is or if their bigs or their pnm director are the ones who decide

In response to the “earning your letters”...
In my fraternity there was no hazing at all also, but the pledging process was a semester long process, almost fourteen weeks actually. Throughout those many weeks we have to learn almost the entire lore of the fraternity and anything associated with it, two songs a week, weekly tests and many other objectives. By completely this successfully you get a full understanding of what it means to be a...
Anonymous asked: To the person who doesn't understand how people 'earn' their letters: It has absolutely NOTHING to do with hazing, but rather with learning the value of our letters and working tirelessly throughout ones pledgeship to earn the right to wear our letters. In our sisterhood pledges are not permitted to wear letters until they have become initiated members. I wouldn't want a pledge...

Anonymous asked: how do you choose the background for the confessions? I noticed the most recent one was a University of Washington background.
