Greek Life Confessions, To the person who doesn’t understand how people ‘earn’ their letters: It has absolutely NOTHING to do with hazing, but rather with learning the value of our letters and working tirelessly throughout ones pledgeship to earn the right to wear our letters. In our sisterhood pledges are not permitted to wear letters until they have become initiated members. I wouldn’t want a pledge wearing my letters without truly understanding why we treasure our sisterhood and cherishing it as well
