In my fraternity there was no hazing at all also, but the pledging process was a semester long process, almost fourteen weeks actually. Throughout those many weeks we have to learn almost the entire lore of the fraternity and anything associated with it, two songs a week, weekly tests and many other objectives. By completely this successfully you get a full understanding of what it means to be a brother of my fraternity and have instilled in you the values and characteristics that the founding fathers would have wanted. I did not have a single letter until the last day of semester. I EARNED my letters through my hard work, leadership, and my understanding of what brotherhood really means to my fraternity. That’s how people earn their letters.
