In ours the pledges don't get a say in who their big is. The girls want to be bigs will submit a bid for a little. Before when they pledges got a say in who they want as their big, it didn't turn out so well as some of the bigs didn't really devote time to bond so we changed it to where if you want to be a big, you can submit a bid for a girl. We did take the pledges opinions into consideration, but in this way we were able to provide a better match to ensure that bigs would devote time to bond
